I have to say, it may not have been ideal weather on Sunday for the parade but the wind was nothing compared to the wind and snow on Monday. I’m glad that held off and I’m sure the dogs are too! We had around 20 dogs and between 30 and 40 volunteers out for the parade in Cedar Rapids this year. It was a great turnout and we want to put a big Thank You out to everyone who helped out! It was great to see people coming over after the parade and asking about dogs they were interested in adopting. After all, that’s what all this is for. Even Prancer got to get out an enjoy the sun and a little extra attention! She made the Monday edition of the Gazette.
For those of you who haven’t met Prancer- she is a very sweet girl. She has some neurological damage in her back legs and has some trouble walking. But she doesn’t seem to let that get her down!
