Cat of the Week: Bean

Bean

Bean is a gorgeous, long-haired orange tabby.

When Bean came to Last Hope, he was a sickly, starving kitten who weighed half of what he should. We have no idea how long he wandered cold, snowy rural Iowa roads; but his luck changed when a kind-hearted couple found him and brought him to Last Hope.

Bean 2You should see him now. This gorgeous little lion has a healthy and very fluffy coat. He has these adorable fluffy tufts between each of his orange toes. He also has the softest, sweetest little mew. Bean has been a shy and quiet boy who took some time to gain his trust. He was very fearful of humans at first. Who knows what this poor little guy went through before he was rescued!

Bean has really come out of his shell, however. He is still quiet and shy, but he’s learned to roll over on his side for attention, and wraps his big, fluffy tail around his human’s legs affectionately. He has a terrific little purr.

Bean is an easygoing guy, and he gets along fabulously with his foster cat brothers and sisters (of all ages). He naps with them and rubs along their sides affectionately. He’s even learned to tolerate the big, slobbery dog. He should only live in homes with mellow and cat-savvy dogs, if any at all.

Bean 3Bean will be timid until he feels safe in in environment and gets to know you. Bean needs a caregiver who is calm and patient, and who is capable of building trust with a timid kitty. He requires a quiet and stable home. However, once he gets to know you, we guarantee he will be a loving and loyal housecat. We’ve seen him become this in just 4 months of giving him our unconditional love.

Bean has been fully vetted. He is FIV and FeLV negative, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Indoor homes only.
