Dog of the Week: Harvey

Harvey is a wonderful, happy, snuggly little Rat Terrier.  He likes to play and go for walks or he’s just as happy to curl up next to you on the couch.  He really prefers to be the king of his home and doesn’t like to share with other dogs.  He’s never been around cats.  Harvey will be best suited in a home with no small children as they make him nervous.  Children 12+ are okay with Harvey.  If you would like more information about Harvey, contact Jessica at:  JLytle44@gmail.com.  Harvey’s adoption fee is $200.00.

Dog of the Week: Biscoe

This handsome man is Biscoe!  He’s a Red Heeler/Lab mix and is about four years old. Don’t you just love that face!  He does great in the car and ignores those things called cats.  He loves playing with other dogs if properly introduced and is a sweet, smart boy! He loves going for runs/walks and would love to have an active human to call his own.  He is selective of the men he is around but this is being worked on with the amazing volunteers at the adoption center.  Indoor homes only.

Dog of the Week: Tobie

Tobie the Puggle loves to snuggle. He also loves to play fetch, go for walks, and car rides. He would love to have a fenced-in backyard to play fetch and explore. He is playful but he will also match your energy if you just want to snuggle on the couch. He is protective of his owners so he will need proper introduction to strangers.

He currently lives with two cats and another dog. He may do best in a home with no cats or a cat that tolerates dogs. He plays best with dogs his size or bigger. Tobie is 5 and 1/2 years old and weighs 32 pounds. He knows sit, shake, and come. He is housebroken, crate trained, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Tobie is a lovable dog ready to join your family.

Dog of the Week: Bennie

 

Bennie is a Boxer/Pit mix and was originally found running the streets with his little buddy Bonnie, a Jack Russel Terrier.  He gets along great with other dogs and seems to ignore cats.  Bennie is a very happy boy.  He shows this with his wiggle.  He wiggles always, whether he is standing or running.  Bennie is also a lucky boy.  Originally we thought his wiggle was a sign of a larger neurological problem.  With that ruled out he is ready for his forever home.

Bennie has been neutered, micro-chipped, and is up to date on shots.

Dog of the Week: Lacy

My name is Lacy and I am so happy since I found my foster family! I love to cuddle with people big or small. I also love stuffed animals and rawhide bones. I like to play outside or in, but can also relax and take a nap. Lately, I have been learning how to walk on a leash and try not to pull my foster mom too hard. We are working on that. I am selective of my doggy friends because I like to be top dog,  but with a slow introduction I might be okay.  I’m not too sure about cats though. I would do best with a yard that I could run around in and explore, but a tie out would do as well with the proper harness that I can’t slip out of.

Dog of the Week: Piper

Hi! My name is Piper! I’m sure you glanced at my photos & noticed how adorable I am! I am a female Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier. I just love people and all the attention I can get! I love to follow my foster mom around the house. I love to play but when you settle in on the couch you should probably make room for me too! I’m working on all my commands I know “sit” “come” “go to your bed” and “lay down”. I love to go for car rides and walks. When I’m outside I have to be on a tie-out or leash since I like to climb fences. I like to have all the attention and would prefer to be your only pup in the house. My foster mom has a dog I have been getting along with great…but I can be picky about who I’m friends with.

Dog of the Week: Shadow

Shadow, a miniature Poodle, lived his life in a puppy mill cage for many years so he is very shy but starting to come out and explore a bit. He really likes treats and we’ve been working on socialization with rewards and hand feeding. He loves other dogs, especially dogs his own size, and would do best in a home with at least one other dog to show him the ropes to family living and to give him the confidence to explore. He has a very sweet personality and with a little patience and time, he will make a great addition to your family!

Dog of the Week: Marley

Hi there ! My name is Marley. I am a handsome pup and I am looking for my forever home.

My foster family thinks I am around 1 year old and I weigh about 50 lbs. I would be a great dog for an active family or single person who enjoys hiking and the outdoors as I have lots of energy.

I love the outdoors and I go for long walks every day. I do really well on a leash. My foster dad says a I am one smart dog and I learn really fast. I love to please but I will need an experienced pet owner to work with me so I can continue learning everything I need to know to be your best friend!

I will need a fenced in yard as I love to run and play. I do have a prey drive so I can’t live with any cats. I get along good with older children who will be respectful of me.

I am housebroken, up to date on all my vaccinations, and micro-chipped.

Dog of the Week: Gidget

My name is Gidget.  I am a six year old Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix with a sincere personality.  I sometimes need a little time to warm up to my surroundings, but once I do, my true character will shine.  I am very personable and am very sweet.  The longer you are around me, the more I grow on you.

I love to snuggle up next to you on the couch or the bed.  I will bark a little at people that come to the door, and maybe sometimes at the neighbor dogs that I can hear, but not see.  I do like most dogs and cats – I get along great with the Golden Retriever I am staying with.  I am good with children, I’ll even snuggle up with them at night when I want some company.  I love to have my head and belly rubbed.

I would prefer a fenced in backyard – I love laying out in the sunshine and running around free.  I am still learning to catch balls, but I do love a big, plush toys to chew on.  I also enjoy walks around the neighborhood.

My stomach is a bit sensitive, so I do need to be on a sensitive food diet, but I do like the occasional Milk Bone.  I am potty trained and will let you know when I need to go out.

I am looking for my forever home.  Please consider adopting me into your family.

Dog of the Week: Marley

Marley is a handsome little guy! He enjoys cuddling and playing ball. Marley has been in a shelter since he was four months old. He recently came to Last Hope Animal Rescue from Kentucky.

Marley is still learning doggy manners and needs someone who is just as excited to teach him, as he is to learn them. Marley will do best as the only male in the house, he has not been cat tested, and he is great with kids. Marley is a Lab mix and is now a year old and still hoping for his forever home!
